Biography

Steve started in the industry in 1977, after having worked as a Gym Instructor. He trained at the Mountview Theatre School where he gained a Diploma in acting, and for the next few years continued to work mainly in Film and TV, and also as Fight Director/Swordmaster in live theatre

He joined the Stunt Register as a probationary member in 1983 and went on to become a full member and Stunt Co-ordinator in 1986. In the late 80s he spent some time in Hollywood USA before returning to England.

Steve has worked on over 300 film and tv productions as a Stunt Performer and over 500 as Stunt Co-ordinator and 2nd Unit Action Director, both in the UK and overseas. With 30 years experience and the ability to create innovative and realistic action sequences, together with an exemplary safety record, he is one of the leading Stunt Co-ordinators in the industry.

His work with cars featured in Sky One's "Greatest Ever Screen Chases", and he is a full member of the Directors Guild of Great Britain, BECTU 2nd Unit Director, full member of Equity and the JISC Stunt Register as well as having been inducted into the Hollywood Stuntmen's Hall of Fame for outstanding achievements to the entertainment field of Motion Pictures and Television. He is currently serving on the Equity Stunt Committee and is a member of the JISC.
